Ellijay’s Gilmer County Library, a branch of the Sequoyah Regional Library System, has debuted a new in-house large-format scanning service which provides equipment for visitors to scan images of any size up to 12”x17” in both color and black-and-white. This scanning service is available, at no cost, to anyone in the community with a library card in good standing. Appointments to use the large-format scanner can be booked by contacting or visiting the Gilmer County Library on a first-come, first served basis. This service is made possible in part by a grant awarded by Faith Hope and Charity.

“The Gilmer Library is excited to announce our new large-format scanner,” says Alex Thomerson, Gilmer County Library Manager. “The latest addition to our library’s digitizing equipment, this service can be utilized by visitors to scan detailed maps, artwork, or large bound books in a matter of seconds! As with our other digitizing technology, this service is completely free and easy to use. Stop by and turn your large-format items into a quick digital file.”
